Welcome at GRAEBEL GEIGENBAU – Your Violin Maker at Würzburg.
You can find GRAEBEL GEIGENBAU studio and shop on the fringes of Würzburg´s old town beginning Monday, July 2 nd 2007.
As a skilled violin maker, I repair, restore, and build stringed instruments, as well as sell them and their accessories.
I was born in Hannover in 1974 and I´ve been a cello player since I was eight years old. In 1994, I started an apprenticeship as violin maker in Markneukirchen/ Vogtland County.
I studied under the guidance of Nils Polster in Egestorf from May to November 1997. To completed my apprenticeship I was examined by the Handwerkskammer Hannover (Chamber of Crafts), under its chairman Christian Erichson.
After the apprenticeship, I worked in Borstorf with Christian Brosse, in Hannover with Christian Erichson, in Dinkelsbühl with Thomas Hummel, and finally in Heidelberg in the studio of Tobias Gräter. In 2009 I also opened a Dependance in Heidelberg.
I´m looking forward to your visit,
